Nature park restaurateurs cook regionally
As an association of around 50 restaurateurs from the Black Forest Central/North Nature Park, we have made it our mission to use regional and high-quality ingredients for our dishes.
As a nature park restaurateur, we offer at least six regional dishes and one regional menu throughout the year. ‘Regional’ means that the ingredients for our creations come from the two Black Forest nature parks. By using local products in our kitchens as nature park restaurateurs, we and you as guests are making an important contribution to preserving the typical Black Forest cultural landscape. The motto ‘Taste the Black Forest’ is therefore meant literally!

Everything that the season, nature and producers have in store for us provides our host and chef with the inspiration to create culinary delights for you.

Membership in the Naturparkwirten association means a great deal to us.
On 18 June 2021, Thomas Stolz, chairman of the Naturparkwirte association, presented us with the ‘Naturparkwirt’ plaque. Representatives of the nature park and Peter Hirn, representing the mayor, were also present. Not to mention the local press. Membership in the Naturparkwirte is very important to us. It is important to us to use regional products. We also pay attention to short transport routes. These are just two of the many reasons why we are a Naturparkwirt.
We would also like to thank our kitchen team, who ultimately make it all happen.
The Nature Park Host stands for:
- Identification: We distinguish ourselves with regional specialities and are convinced of the quality of regional products.
- Authenticity: Many of our dishes are consistently made with products from the two Black Forest nature parks. We offer many drinks from regional producers.
- Transparency/control: The origin of the products can be traced via our food and drink menu. We are inspected once a year by ‘Schmeck den Süden’ for quality assurance.
- Collegiality: We are a member of DEHOGA and participate in all joint campaigns with special nature park offers.
